I m not going to write much on my life in this post, I m going to write about Tea Break here.

For me the project Tea Break started when Asim Imtiaz and me used to sit only rooms apart and me and Zair sat inches apart in Creative Chaos. Asim got me into this project since he had seen me working on freelance projects that had turned out beautiful. Anyways the moment Asim told me about the idea, I knew I was going to be a part of it, but I never got to make the design of the first version since I was busy with some stuff, and Zair managed to bring the first design online.

The second design we pushed online, which is still online as I write this post, was made by me, I did the design and most of the front end code, then Asim had all the development fronts covered, Zair helped me a tiny bit with the CSS, and Ammar was the mastermind when it came to market our little baby that was Teabreak.

There was a launch party held when we pushed this major update on the website, and I got to meet some really awesome people that includes Madam Jehan Ara, Ramla Akhter, Munir Usman, Imad Qamar and some I knew from before like Dr. Awab Alvi (who I believe is more blogger than a doc ).

We had many updates to follow after that and we covered many blogging events after that, and the response had mostly been awesome, except some tid bits. When ever I got to speak about Tea Break I did so and people got excited when I told them that I designed that website.

Later after quite some time had passed, we thought we needed to upgrade it a bit, and we starting taking feedback from users and also started building up a database of our ideas and new requirements. During this time, I flew to Dubai, where I had no access to a personal computer, only my office iMac, I obviously wasn’t allowed any work on that, so Tea Break suffered some development time on that, but it wasn’t long till I realised Dubai wasn’t the place for me, so I flew back when I had an offer from this another company ‘Xuqa‘, and the thought that it’s a game development company made it even better, so any how, I flew back to Pakistan, but even then due to my work hours I still wasn’t able to work on Tea Break, then the company decided that all it’s employees are going to be moved to Singapore, which is obviously super nice , so we moved here and again, lack of time followed me, but any how, I found a week end and finally did a design. It looks good to me, but sadly due to the amount of work I already have, I will not be working on Tea Break as of now.

Even though it’s been an awesome experience, I m going to go off the Tea Break experience, since I believe my work (both, paid and for Tea Break) was being effected, I could concentrate on only one thing at a time, and I chose money ( ) , no I m quitting Tea Break at least for a while due to the amount of work I have here at Xuqa (now Game Ventures), also since I couldn’t dedicate any time to Tea Break, I didn’t want it to suffer any more because of me. I m sure the rest of the Tea Break team will find an awesome designer to fit into place. I might join Tea Break at a later stage, but for now I m not working on it, I need to focus on my office work first.

It has been an awesome journey with you guys (Asim, Ammar, Asadullah, Zair), I wish you all the best for the future of Tea Break and it’s child projects.

It’s been around 2 months or more since I leaft Creative Chaos, yet my connection, friendship and love with these folks is still the same. The reason is the kind of environment we had and a strong communication that we had developed among us.

Any how, the reason I m writing this post is plain simple, I had another day with the people at Creative Chaos and it was awesome. I got to see my desk again, whihc has now been taken over by Sundus, who proudly declares she stole my desk, yeah well considering all my stuff is still in her possession, she might have haha !

I was also taken back by the fact that most of the things I left back at Creative Chaos, are still there, and mostly the way there, which is not only a way of expressing the care that others have towards one another.

Any how, I was coming back from work, I have night shifts now btw (got to work San Fransisco hours now), which was around 12 in the afternoon, and I got a call from Omair, asking if I was free for lunch, I was tired but as soon as I came to know it’s a lunch with my former collegues and friends at Creative Chaos, I agreed right away, and Omair picked me up from near by.

We headed for the office, and had some time there, and I got to meet the two new employees at CC, in the design department. They’re pretty nice people, I hope they enjoy at CC as much as they can along with doing their work.

The rest is all cool till now..

I got to grab some sleep, so I got to head home.

I don’t know but it seems like a good change happening, and I m a little happy about it too. I write crap I know, but I still like to read some good stuff, lately I’ve been visiting Teabreak more and more to read, yes read. I did have some sort of confusion, but then, one doesn’t need to be confused once it’s rolling good.

Then I m caught up with some work, both from the office and freelance, and I m getting less time to focus on the freelance, which is bad, but then we have week ends for that, and I m hoping to wrap it up nicely in a gifted manner before the week ends.

I m also going a little easy on some things I should not be, some of this stuff includes my current work, and the reason I’d say for going easy is to make it as smooth as possible, while staying relaxed, because I know I’ll pull it off before the time ends.

Zair dude is also getting people involved into blogging, he recently got another blogger ‘Aychaa‘, which is good, you know I m into blogging, and I do make efforts to get more people involved too.

Of late, I’ve started wondering about my new job, how is it going to be, how’s the new expereicne going to be? will I enjoy it, will I hate it.. what not.. hell, it’s not yet time.

I’ve also recently discovered Cuil. If all goes well, it could make for a decent competetor for Google search, only if all goes well. I really like it’s GUI. I m also planning on learning alot of new stuff including PHP, some of the seniors here at work had started some classes on that, sadly, these classes have stopped for some reasons I m not allowed to write here, even though this is my space..

I would like to write more now, but then whose gonna do my work..

Yes this is another random post, just today someone said I should tel people about the inflation in the prices, but hell they already know about it, it’s not somethign they hsould get to know from my blog.

After the release of the new version of my website, I’ve seen some good traffic, and also some good projects coming my way, some of which I had to turn down for a couple of reasons.. Please donot question what reasons.

There’s also some very funny stuff going on between me and Zair, haha I should laugh, it’s an internal joke, that I don’t want everyone to know, and oh since working about work, our asses at work are all jammed for now, so much work, so less time, well thats the nature of this work my friend, that how we roll.. and I m working on a project that’s quite a delicate subject, but very educating, I hope they get a positive and a balanced response.

And then my friends, some of them are crazy pissed at me, and yes I m aware of that, haven’t been able to see some of them in eternity damn. I hope to meet them soon.. And Babrus, the cool digitartist rockstar dude has flown to Dubai. WOW!

I m a mood that sings happiness right now, I hope I stay in that mood for as long as I can, I seriously hope so.

I’ve been playing cricket lately, which is an essential part of you if you want to describe yourself a Pakistan ok maybe it’s not, but I m enjoying playing that game with my office collegues.. yes I m playing with folks from my office on Saturday nights, and last night was one of the best for sure… no doubt about it.

I did hit a six score finally… yaay. even though we usually loose the match, this time we won one too. another YaY.

Oh and Zair might be comng back from the vacations soon, and Teabreak is coming along fine too, I m hoping to get some time to update that too, I mean get in touch with the team again and update stuff.. I can’t do that alone ya know, Asim is the big bro there

so now I m sleepy.. super sleepy…

It’s the week end, now isn’t ? so I should be out going crazy and acting like a holligan… but i m not, infact I was out playing cricket with about a quarter of my office staff near my collgue’s house.. coolness.. yes, very much yes.. It’s one of the ways I get to excercise in my otherwise very hush hush routine..

So I played, and I played much better than the last time, a little good show of progress

On the other hand, Zair my long CSS rockstar friend at work will be on a little leave for his cousin’s wedding.. enjoy the time bro

And boy am I excited or what, we have the first Teabreak get together on the 27th July, 2008. Sign up if you’re blogger and join us at the get together.. should be fun I suppose.

What’s up right.. well for one, I m not ! and the way things are giong around, I m suspecting I won’t be properly up either

Zair has recently become ‘The Incredible Hulk‘ in case you didn’t know. and I’ve become I don’t know maybe the military that runs from him, but I ain’t running from Zair.. he’s a darling.. Muah muah… haha !

I’ve started using the Wacom tablet we have at our office for the design team, but not really properly, and honestly it’s so much fun to use it, rediscovery of talents haha.

I missed today’s Gunaah’s concert, coz yes, I m not really well.. I m pretty weak and ill for now, thats why the folks around my office don’t get to see a lot of jumpy me

And boy oh boy, add to that, I donated blood, for a good casue, incase you have some extra blood too, go donate them to thalessimia patients, I swear it’s worth it, thats why I did it.

I actually saw them in person, and also saw another good number of folks from other disorders realted to blood… Blood is so important, I just found out the importance, and I feel like thanking the All mighty for giving me a healthy supplu of blood in my veins..

On the other hand when I went for the donation with my office staff, we had a surprizing incident, which I m not going to write here to save someone from some embarassment.. yes I care

Then we even discovered a BLOODY MUFTA, ok for those who didn’t get it, it’s an internal office joke, posted here for no reason

Just in case you missed the last post, I had announced, that the new version of Teabreak is just around, and well folks, it’s here now, yes right this moment, it’s online… so boys and girls, uncles and aunties.. spread the love.. send us some postcards

The new version relies some amount of it’s user interface on javascript, so it’s a good idea to use modern browser with javascript enabled.. I would highly recommend that you use Firefox 3.

It’s been some time since I last blogged, and honestly, alot has happened since, I mean a real lot !

I have been gaining some weight, which looks odd coz it’s just around my tummy, makes me look like a man with a baby inside haha !

Oye and please wish Ammar Yasir, a big evil Happy Birthday.. yes it’s his birthday.. he was drpped on this round ball this day !

Any how, I also found some more of my school colleagues on facebook, which is good, now isn’t ?

On the other hand Asim and Ammar must really be pissed, haven’t done any update to TeaBreak in some time now, and also Zair had been busy with coke studio’s website, like you can see on his blog. Any how, even though a little late, I promise Teabreak is going to be kickass… can’t you figure yet, I have been way too busy recently too..damn !

Oh and how can I forget, I have some days off from my office, took a little vacation, for some reasons I donot want to share with no one, people who already know, keep your freaking mouths shut warna toont tum logoon ki

Also I’ve been getting some good amount of hits on my blog, since it got to some design sites, which is nice, and super cool too. Credit to all those who came thank you !

Also, on the final note, I got the Air conditioner in my room, finally, which is good, even though the electric system in our city is not so fine tuned, but I think we can manage a couple of cool hours…yaay
