I guess most people now know, that I had resigned from Creative Chaos (Pvt.) Ltd. last month, and was just serving my notice period, and then I had some great opportunities to select from.. I think I had found the right one, and might be relocated for that particular purpose.

Right this day, it’s going to be my 2nd last day, Monday being the last day that I serve at Creative Chaos, also, I’ll be collecting all my letters and all sorts of stuff that’s post resignation on Monday.

I have also been working on a sex education website, which should be live by Monday hopefully… or thats something we here at Creative Chaos are hoping, I’ll post the link and review here, once the website goes live.

I’ve also been listening to Ali Azmat’s ‘Klashinfolk‘ on loop lately, which has been released just recently, and boy it’s good.. to good !

I m also planning to take a 2-3 day break before I join the other company, and fix things that shouldn’ve been fixed some time ago. Also I will need to help dad on somethings he had planned, but that’s going to happen only after he’s well.. right now he’s still a little weak, and needs speech therapy..

The rest all seems ok, I know one thing right now, I m going to miss Creative Chaos and all the people here alot.. There’s no one here, that I might not like, all the folks here are awesome !

I recently mentioned, the internet at my home is fixed, which is rocking, and now guess what… I got a hair cut, no seriously ! which means, I kind of look like an egghead :P

I wish I had a proper cam to snap myself, I hate my cellphone’s shitty cam, so anyways, my head…. damn I tried shaking my head, and it felt super light… man I miss my hairs !

Since Moti Bhains has a new blog, no I m not going to share the link, the cause of the new blog might die otherwise, anyhow, I got the bumper stickers idea, that you see in the Random BS area, from her blog, cheers to here.. :) She even awarded me with an high five award, see that in the honors area :) Damn I m good :P

Damn, oh and I’ve started coding Teabreak’s front end :) which is good, really :D Zair boi, help O !

Then since I have the internet now, the torrent downlaods have resumed big time ! I have a couple of GB’s worth of download on my download queue :) Most of them are music videos or work related stuff, but in High Def.. man I love my computer, that’s why I stick to it a lot :)

The song remains the same take II (Saturday, December 15th, 2007. 8:15pm to 11:15 pm), an event which gave a little fresh air to my a bit of rusty life. Why did I go there, cause H-N’s band was performing, and what did I see and hear was more than just awesome.

    Gunaah

The show starts off late, which is not something new for most Karachites, and then the stage is taken by Gunaah (H-N’s band). They do a fair amount of playing and rocking, making an impression with ‘Keep on rocking in the Free world‘ the G3 version. Even though they started with ‘Nagin‘, an instrumental, from 1950’s, but I honestly thought this would’ve been left for the last. Then they had a cover of Noori ‘Saari Raat Jaga‘ which had noticible mistakes, and hence leaves a big room of improvement. The last track they did was also a cover ‘Psycho‘ by System of a Down, which was loud and rocking, seriously !

Bottom line, I loved Keep on rocking in the free world, and Psycho.

    Imran Lodhi

We then had Imran Lodhi take the stage and perform one of his originals, which was nice, turns out Imran is one friendly person himself… Rock on rock on..

    Spoonful

Spoonful had then taken the stage with a rather long guy as the vocalist, and I mean seriously tall.. These folks did ‘Born to be Wild‘ by Stephen Wolf, which is one of the songs I really love to hear, and boy they did an awesome job with it ! They even did awesome job with ACDC’s ‘Highway to Hell‘, which is another one of my favourites. Cheers boys.

    7 on 3rd

Seven on Third took the light of the stage, starting out with ‘Bleed it out‘ by Linkin Park, which showed lack of skills, but as soon as they hit Metallica, I was stunned and impressed, they sounded almost like original Metallica. I m their new fan, their performance was followed by a small fight between the organizers and the fans of 7 on 3rd, since the band performed an extra song which wasn’t quite as planned due to the lack of time.

    The Great Drama Queen Conundrum

The Last performance was of The Great Drama Queen Conundrum, I had lost interest in the show a bit, due to the fight, but these guys were good none the less, ‘Foxy Lady’ by Jimmy Hendrix was an awesome work with music, but Vocals, I’d say need work. The vocalist may have made a presentable performance, but since the vocals need a bit of work, things can be daunting to handle.

None the less the show was a run away hit, which rocked the night for any Rock loving bum. :)

    Cheers.

    The Gunaah Birthday Bash

18th November, 2007. The evening in Khayaban-e-Itehad would have been the normal life for everyone else ! But those who dropped by The Second Floor - Karachi, had the treat of the day. Gunaah’s birthday bash was all that we gathered for and got the joy of listening to three bands, one of those for whom we have special respect as being of the best underground acts in Pakistan.

The show starts with Achanak (the band), performing their orignals and covers from Aerosmith and Aaroh, honestly the covers were far better than the original, though they raped one of the cover too. Surprizingly they got to do more socializing with modern chicks than the other bands :P

We then had Gravity get the spirits of the audience high and rocking with an awesome start of a classical ‘Tarana‘, they even performed covers from Junoon and Sajjad Ali, but the most rocking acts were their originals. From the covers they did, both sounded awesome, much better than what Achanak could’ve done. They were actually to do all this unplugged, but on the last moment decided to do it plugged and rocking ! And they did good !

Then we had the final act of the day, Gunaah took the center stage ! Started off with Nishaan from Noori and then moved to Bolo bolo and other tracks, but, yes, but the most rocking performance came from their cover of Psycho of System of a Down, and also their original ‘Talaah -e- Noor’, which also has a very special place for me ! I really love that song !

Even with major sound problems and Gunaah managed to pull out a great show, for musicians and the audience alike, and there’s no doubting that Gunaah is here to stay, for a very very long while !

For those who donot know, here’s the current line up of Gunaah :
Hassaan Sarwar - Vocals/Screams, Qumber Kazmi - Drums, Yasir Siddiqui - Bass, Zain Kazmi - Guitars.

words from my short lived life !

Life’s being merciful, and sometimes it hits back hard ! :P

I was supposed to meet someone after quite some time, and I was really looking forward for it ! Then it turns out, that may and may not happen, things turned from being confirmed to fluctuated :( It’s kind of the same thing that happened with Gunaah’s Jam session, but this was something different ! :( I feel very odd right now ! no kidding ! :|

On the other hand, I have my best pal sitting with me, cheering me up ! I m blessed, or so I feel like one, for having a friend like him ! Yes my best friend is a guy, and that’s not a bad thing ! :P

I got a nice desk lamp, in blue, and that looks awesome, my work place looks much better ! :)

The other good things is, we finally decided to do Asim’s bro’s project, that had been hanging for a while, but now, maybe, it’s see the light of the day ! :)

I m also so damn happy that Asim’s to blogging now, so he’s less in a bad mood ! In fact I like going out all the time now too, but I rarely get the time, but that’s not necessarily bad :P

Then we may have a Gunaah’s birthday bash Gig next month, which is good ! :)

One thing that bought a big happy smile on my face, is this blog entry by MB.

On the work side of things, I may and may not be working with Zindagi Trust for another project :P

Yes, Yes, the jam session has been postponed ! :(

It’s now on the 27th of his month, which is this coming Saturday !

Lately I had been pretty sick, yes sick, so I had people coming in, checking on how I was doing, now I m pretty good, Alhamdolillah !

And yesterday, as I was out for getting myself another pair of spectacles (yes the old ones broke, don’t ask me how), Asim said he’s come back home with me, I said sure, and we watched all night, one of the movies I loved is ‘1408′ definite watch I’d say !

any how, for those wondering why the G’Jam Session is delayed, thanks to Benazir Bhutto’s arrival and thanks to those bloody suckers who blew up themselves in bits along with many others..

My sincere condolences goes out to all the innocent people who lost their lives in such a tragic manner !

Also, one of my friend, Raheel Lakhani, has written a little post on BB, should check it out.

    Thats all for now.

(MB, there, thats another post ! :) )
