I m not going to write much on my life in this post, I m going to write about Tea Break here.

For me the project Tea Break started when Asim Imtiaz and me used to sit only rooms apart and me and Zair sat inches apart in Creative Chaos. Asim got me into this project since he had seen me working on freelance projects that had turned out beautiful. Anyways the moment Asim told me about the idea, I knew I was going to be a part of it, but I never got to make the design of the first version since I was busy with some stuff, and Zair managed to bring the first design online.

The second design we pushed online, which is still online as I write this post, was made by me, I did the design and most of the front end code, then Asim had all the development fronts covered, Zair helped me a tiny bit with the CSS, and Ammar was the mastermind when it came to market our little baby that was Teabreak.

There was a launch party held when we pushed this major update on the website, and I got to meet some really awesome people that includes Madam Jehan Ara, Ramla Akhter, Munir Usman, Imad Qamar and some I knew from before like Dr. Awab Alvi (who I believe is more blogger than a doc ).

We had many updates to follow after that and we covered many blogging events after that, and the response had mostly been awesome, except some tid bits. When ever I got to speak about Tea Break I did so and people got excited when I told them that I designed that website.

Later after quite some time had passed, we thought we needed to upgrade it a bit, and we starting taking feedback from users and also started building up a database of our ideas and new requirements. During this time, I flew to Dubai, where I had no access to a personal computer, only my office iMac, I obviously wasn’t allowed any work on that, so Tea Break suffered some development time on that, but it wasn’t long till I realised Dubai wasn’t the place for me, so I flew back when I had an offer from this another company ‘Xuqa‘, and the thought that it’s a game development company made it even better, so any how, I flew back to Pakistan, but even then due to my work hours I still wasn’t able to work on Tea Break, then the company decided that all it’s employees are going to be moved to Singapore, which is obviously super nice , so we moved here and again, lack of time followed me, but any how, I found a week end and finally did a design. It looks good to me, but sadly due to the amount of work I already have, I will not be working on Tea Break as of now.

Even though it’s been an awesome experience, I m going to go off the Tea Break experience, since I believe my work (both, paid and for Tea Break) was being effected, I could concentrate on only one thing at a time, and I chose money ( ) , no I m quitting Tea Break at least for a while due to the amount of work I have here at Xuqa (now Game Ventures), also since I couldn’t dedicate any time to Tea Break, I didn’t want it to suffer any more because of me. I m sure the rest of the Tea Break team will find an awesome designer to fit into place. I might join Tea Break at a later stage, but for now I m not working on it, I need to focus on my office work first.

It has been an awesome journey with you guys (Asim, Ammar, Asadullah, Zair), I wish you all the best for the future of Tea Break and it’s child projects.

It was around a few months ago when I had donated blood for the thalassemia patients, when I was employed at Creative Chaos, it’s been a long time.. and a very long time if I speak in internet time.

Any how, I was at the Blogap forum, when I read the post by Ayesha, that said that they are looking for blood donors. I was easily tempted at the idea of getting my blood into some one else’s veins, but anyway, help is good, so I decided I’ll do this.

Yesterdey after work, even though I was like super sleepy, I decided that I’ll go to Iqra University and meet Uzey and Abdullah. While I was there I got to catch up with Fahd and Iraj too, which turned out to be nice.

After that I hit Asim’s place, which is one of the best places I go, no kidding, where we called up Kamran and went to Aga Khan hospital, I got myself registered, and waited a few minutes before it was my time to give blood. I guess I was done in a few minutes.

Now I hope that blood does go to some one really in need. May God bless. Ameen.

I had planned this like before Eid (with my offline friends) that we’d do a Barbeque after Eid, and that finally happened last night (Saturday night).

I had to do some preparation before hand, getting the sound system ready, the lightning and all that stuff, and obviously make the sitting arrangements to hold some 6 butts on the ground, so matteresses were pulled out of the closets.

The bbq started off at around 9 which I think is too soon to start a bbq, it should start at something around 11, so people could live and enjoy through the night, but hell 6 boys together cannot get out alive without enjoying.

We had Asim, Fahad, Kamran, Hassan, Najam and me for the bbq. Asim grabbed his Sheesha (huqa) while coming, Fahad had his Guitar, and Kamran and Asim together grabbed a few movies.

There’s nothing much too tell about the whole cooking part, except that we wet fahad ass (with some super cold water) while he was on the grill, and that I tried playing a little guitar and I sucked big time, the sound system sounded better with some good msuic.

We ate food and jumped into my room, where we had moved the mattresses after eating so we could watch the movies. Kamran wanted to make us watch a horror movie which he though would creep us out, so we put on the one which he got, it was a french movie without any subtitles ‘Record’. If you watch it without any random commentry you’d enjoy the horror part of it, but we laughed all night on it, since we had everyone commenting and redubbing what was being said. Hassan being the lead on this made the whole movie sound super funny.

We then had tea and later icecreams during the movie and also watched ‘Dostana’ again, yeah I’ve watched it before too. We had some good pathan nasta, and around 9 we said our lovely dostana good byes.

That was about it, just wanted to write it to remember the good times

I had promised uzey a couple of days back that we’d do some get together becaseu we hadn’t in like ages, so obviosuly the weekend would be a good time for an iftaari get together, so we decided we’d go out to eat soem where on Sunday, that was yesterday, and so we did.

We had initially decided to go to Lasania, but as we stepped inside, it looked like a way to sophisticated place for too decent people, and for a bunch of jumping young people, that wouldn’t be the right place, so we moved to Pizza Hut which was near by and oh boy, it was hell of a noisy place, something we were looking forward for.  We got in start snapping each other for no reason at all, and people were actually looking at us with super odd looks and it was kind of funny, no kidding. What also made that so exciting was that we got to figure out a guy who half butt crack was visible for the audience and obvisouly we being the crazy folks, Asim decided to embarass the guy, and then his friends made a hell of a hallloooga out of him… Which was fun, although we did apologize later, which wans’t really needed.

Any how, it was one fun event for sure.

I m a mood that sings happiness right now, I hope I stay in that mood for as long as I can, I seriously hope so.

I’ve been playing cricket lately, which is an essential part of you if you want to describe yourself a Pakistan ok maybe it’s not, but I m enjoying playing that game with my office collegues.. yes I m playing with folks from my office on Saturday nights, and last night was one of the best for sure… no doubt about it.

I did hit a six score finally… yaay. even though we usually loose the match, this time we won one too. another YaY.

Oh and Zair might be comng back from the vacations soon, and Teabreak is coming along fine too, I m hoping to get some time to update that too, I mean get in touch with the team again and update stuff.. I can’t do that alone ya know, Asim is the big bro there

so now I m sleepy.. super sleepy…

Just in case you missed the last post, I had announced, that the new version of Teabreak is just around, and well folks, it’s here now, yes right this moment, it’s online… so boys and girls, uncles and aunties.. spread the love.. send us some postcards

The new version relies some amount of it’s user interface on javascript, so it’s a good idea to use modern browser with javascript enabled.. I would highly recommend that you use Firefox 3.

It’s been some time since I last blogged, and honestly, alot has happened since, I mean a real lot !

I have been gaining some weight, which looks odd coz it’s just around my tummy, makes me look like a man with a baby inside haha !

Oye and please wish Ammar Yasir, a big evil Happy Birthday.. yes it’s his birthday.. he was drpped on this round ball this day !

Any how, I also found some more of my school colleagues on facebook, which is good, now isn’t ?

On the other hand Asim and Ammar must really be pissed, haven’t done any update to TeaBreak in some time now, and also Zair had been busy with coke studio’s website, like you can see on his blog. Any how, even though a little late, I promise Teabreak is going to be kickass… can’t you figure yet, I have been way too busy recently too..damn !

Oh and how can I forget, I have some days off from my office, took a little vacation, for some reasons I donot want to share with no one, people who already know, keep your freaking mouths shut warna toont tum logoon ki

Also I’ve been getting some good amount of hits on my blog, since it got to some design sites, which is nice, and super cool too. Credit to all those who came thank you !

Also, on the final note, I got the Air conditioner in my room, finally, which is good, even though the electric system in our city is not so fine tuned, but I think we can manage a couple of cool hours…yaay

It’s been a very busy day, though all the crapiness is going away fro the time being, to return later some time.

Any how, my blog is up and running now, which is good, thanks to the good folks at ServerSea Hosting. Now I can rant and bitch about alot fo things

The last post I did which had lots of logos in it, has kind of caught up as a trend, which is awesome, everyone should do it. It’s fun now, come on… !

Oh boy, should I be saying this, well yeah I should, alot of work has gone in Teabreak, with collaborative efforts from Asim, Zair, me amd Ammar, and we’re hoping that this does create some big waves, this is not yet complete, but thats what we’re hoping

On the other hand,  office has taken over my life for some time, and I m trying to break it out, I also have to be at Iqra University this Saturday to meet Uzma, let’s hope for some good there too and we might have a bbq this Saturday too

I’ve been looking at a couple of things lately, somethings that i like, and some I donot.

First, I came across this guy, who did logo mashups just for the sake of fun, and man, some of them look so damn convincing. Yes take a look at them and you’ll know !

On the other hand, China has had a severe earthquake, which in all honesty is not such a good site to see. I hope alot of people remain ok, I know the death toll has crossed 10,000 people, but I hope all the remaining people are found alive, Inshallah.

Other than that, life seems cool at the work too, life actually is working my way at work, atleast for me, though sometimes everyone falls asleep at the same time., that’s the beaut of our work place

I missed a really fun meeting (as I heard it) today, lets hope I attend any further such meetings.

and Yaay, we’re going to probably have a Teabreak meeting this Friday, Inshallah.
