Lately the days have been really kind to me, and so have the people around me. I haven’t written about quite some goodness in my life of late.

Some time back, we went out and watched Transformers II, oh yes a movie lot of people are still waiting to see, but boy it’s an amazing movie, I m planning to go and watch it again soon.

Last weekend I was out with friends and decided to hit the Escape theme park, what we experienced there was plain awesomeness, though we know there was lots missing there and that a lot of rides were for kids, but then again we are kids at some level! so hell yeah we enjoyed that alot, for those who are going to ask for pictures please know that we were having so much fun we couldn’t snap pictures

Anyways, and now we’re planning more goodness for the coming weekend. Ice Age 3 in a 3d cinema is in the agenda

Oh and btw, I kinda lost a 100 SGD :S

So about two weeks at out own apartment, it feels really good. The feeling of staying away from office when it’s a weekend is really good. No one actually knocks from the office to wake you up. I love that!

While I was at work on Friday, I got my package, finally. Now I have my awesome threadless T-Shirts.
I bought three, Barrow Bath, The Shower and Let’s get physical. These are awesome t-shirts.

Also since we finally did our product demo, which must’ve gone smooth, I wasn’t there, but I m hoping it did went well.

Also we went for the movie “I love you man” on Friday, man it’s one freakin awesome movie, you’ll laugh till the end, for those who don’t know it’s about a guy who doesn’t have male friends, and he needs a ‘best man’ for his wedding, the movie is about his quest for one.

Also we went for a night safari just yesterday, me, Saad and Balach. In all honesty it wasn’t as awesome, it went fine, wasn’t as ‘awesome fun’. But yeah the awesome part was the awesome ‘black pepper crab’ we had after that. That was awesome. Sadly Saad just puked after that congestion you know

Ever had the days when the week ends would be just awesome. Well this last week end they partly were. I had some really cool yet weird incidents happening.

First it was Ronnie, I met him at the Reception to the gym, and it was totally unexpected, I as heading for the gym, signing in, and comes this guy, appreciating my hair style, I thank him, while he suddenly asks me if I m a designer, obviously since ‘I am’ I say so.. The next thing I know is I m talking to him standing right there for the next 30 minutes. He’s even more surprized when he gets to know I m from Pakistan, and he’s not only surprized, he’s shocked. I would be too if I were him, Pakistan’s build up a pretty bad image recently. But any how, we parted exchanging numbers. And one thing’s for sure he’s a pretty big Obama Supporter. I was pretty exhausted that day since I hadn’t slept last night, so I went to bed early, and I had described the whole thing to my office mates..

Some time around 9pm these folks go out for dinner, and guess who they come across.. Ronnie. He’s having dinner some where near too, and he comes over to my office mates, and asks them if they’re Indian, to which the guys replied they’re from Pakistan, and he jumps up and says I met a Pakistani guy today and he had a mohawk.. and he tells my mates to ask me to call him. and I finally did yesterday, but his cellphone was turned off.

Any how, Saturday we were to get a Cat for the office, how cool is that, isn’t ? Well yeah it’s a kitten and it’s super nice. It’s nice to have a little thing popping around. It’s a little distraction, but a positive one I’d say. We even had some nice dinner at a desi place.

Sunday was mostly stay home kind of day, but I managed to finish off on Ahmed’s university project, which was partly on account of work. Anyhow I’d say this was a better weekend. And I like the new prata place that’s opened up near by.

It’s been a long time since I wanted an Apple computer of my own, but since these are the expensive machines and not quite in everyone’s budget, I had to stick to the PC for as long as I know, except a few times at I used at my work place, and for quite some time when I was in Dubai.

I had demanded for a Mac when I joined Xuqa, and they finally got me one recently, as I mentioned in my earlier post, and not only did they get me a Mac, I bought one of my own too. Which is a nice deal to happen anyways, now that I’ve been using it like crazy, and loving the details, I m surprised how I have lived on PC and Windows for so long.

I m not really spending alot of money on the mac yet, but even the freeware softwares I have, which are mostly open source, the apps are beautiful, these are superb creatures on their own. They work effeciently and smoothly, and thanks to the Apple GUI guidelines, they look cooler every time I have to use them. But oh, one thing, I noticed that the brand new iMac that I use at work is a little slower than my macbook, which is more than a year old, and used obviously, this has come as a surprize also considering that the Macbook is a ‘Core Duo’ machine, while the iMac is a ‘Cure 2 Duo’ machine, and also the fact that my macbook is with a built in Graphics card and the iMac has a dedicated graphics card. Other than that these are pretty decent machines.

The best app for me has been Adium and Skype, along with my graphics toolkit, infact all my communication softwares have been the best, and yes the best thing is the application installation and uninstallation. Beautifully done Apple. Love you !

As you can notice from the image above, I’m really loving my cheap drawing tablet. I tried playing with it, and those were the outcomes, even though the game we launched recently at Xuqa on Facebook, is more of a glossy thing than it is sketchy, you can check it out here (You need to be logged in to facebook to access the game).

Also I’m going to starting on some really nice games here on Xuqa, soon. But for now we trying to iron out all the bugs present in the current game system, which are very small in numbers and significance though.

Oh and the other image that you see above is my new artwork which I recently posted on deviantart, which can be seen here. It was basically my first (finished) artwork on my new drawing tablet

Anyways, since I m at work, and I haven’t got my internest connection subscription renewed, I think I’ll continue my stories later, I m hoping I can get my subscription renewed.. Till then..

I’ve been feeling great about myself lately, why? I’ve completed some of my stuff that was kind of due, so far I haven’t seen any real bugs either.

And man oh man, I finally got the time to take a swim in pool, yep I mean the one thats in our appartments, and boy oh boy, it was awesome.. Somehow the water felt lighter and different !

And guess what I m now feeling some what lazy and sleepy, a lil worn out ofcourse, been working for some 14 hours already. Yes hardwork that is

Oh and this I should not forget, one of my really awesome cousin’s just got engaged yesterday (Sunday), I wish her all the goodness and blessing in her and his life.

It’s been a couple of days since I’ve been staying in Singapore, and I’ve been eating out mostly, haven’t had a single meal that was made at home, and it’s fine right now, since we dont have enough material to cook right now, but anyhow, the food had been good so far, until we decided we’d eat something else today.

Today ofcourse was different, we didnt’ have burgers for a change, we didn’t eat desi meal either like we use to in Dubai, but instead we ate some chinese food, which is ok, kind of bareable but not really awesome food honestly, and had to actually fight the food a bit

Had a fun time though.

I m not sure what we’re going to eat now for dinner, we’re having a fun time working.

There’s this guy at work, FSJ, who does kick ass punches, which he calls combo. So far didn’t really get any of those, and I dont plan on getting any either.

I’ve been hearing alot about him in my office recently and obviously one of the songs which is a tribute to him, so anyhow I thought what the hell I can give a little tribute to the him myself, hence this wallpaper was born. This is the song that’s been playing in my office: Carlo Puebla – Hasta siempre comandante Che G. You can find a couple of more versions of the song here.

Anyways, since I have a habbit of writing of about more than just one thing in a blog post, so I’ll do just that. I’ve also been teaching  a bit of CSS (Casading Style Sheets) to one of my very close friends, not only just a close friend, he’s actually my best friend, yeah I m talking about Asim. 

I also had to go visit Uzey yesterday, but I was kind of stuck in bed snoozing so I missed it, obviously she was a little pissed at it.

Oh and I’ve not to been having any blogger conversations sadly. Will try to do one soon Inshallah.

I m kind of spending really nice times right now, things seem to be in the just right propotion so fr, except that I’ve recently joined the ‘careless spenders club’, but thats how it goes, when you dont really double check what you’re spending on, but honestly I m enjoying it.

I went out with my office mates to Gun Smoke, which is quite a money eater place. It’s expensive, but the food is like WOW ! I would thank Saad for the idea of taking us there. We had some steaks, but since it was the ‘chef’s cut‘ not all of us were able to gobble it up completely, but being the hungy bas**** I m , did finish up my piece.

I’ve also started working pretty much in a good swing, since I’ve been given a lappy (read: Laptop) which makes me a working machine haha not quite. I enjoy watching movies on it

My family and friends are kind of more closer to me now a days, not that they were not before, I kind of didn’t get as close, or the gap had widened, but it seems to be narrowing day by day, which is good.

Everything seems good, I’ve mostly even recovered from Bell’s Palsy.

I had planned this like before Eid (with my offline friends) that we’d do a Barbeque after Eid, and that finally happened last night (Saturday night).

I had to do some preparation before hand, getting the sound system ready, the lightning and all that stuff, and obviously make the sitting arrangements to hold some 6 butts on the ground, so matteresses were pulled out of the closets.

The bbq started off at around 9 which I think is too soon to start a bbq, it should start at something around 11, so people could live and enjoy through the night, but hell 6 boys together cannot get out alive without enjoying.

We had Asim, Fahad, Kamran, Hassan, Najam and me for the bbq. Asim grabbed his Sheesha (huqa) while coming, Fahad had his Guitar, and Kamran and Asim together grabbed a few movies.

There’s nothing much too tell about the whole cooking part, except that we wet fahad ass (with some super cold water) while he was on the grill, and that I tried playing a little guitar and I sucked big time, the sound system sounded better with some good msuic.

We ate food and jumped into my room, where we had moved the mattresses after eating so we could watch the movies. Kamran wanted to make us watch a horror movie which he though would creep us out, so we put on the one which he got, it was a french movie without any subtitles ‘Record’. If you watch it without any random commentry you’d enjoy the horror part of it, but we laughed all night on it, since we had everyone commenting and redubbing what was being said. Hassan being the lead on this made the whole movie sound super funny.

We then had tea and later icecreams during the movie and also watched ‘Dostana’ again, yeah I’ve watched it before too. We had some good pathan nasta, and around 9 we said our lovely dostana good byes.

That was about it, just wanted to write it to remember the good times
