What’s so great about teabreak for me?

I started working on teabreak, once Zair had completed the initial design for teabreak, which was the last one with blue, green, gray and white shades in it..

I had a totally different view of how Teabreak should look and feel to a visitor, they should actually get that tea feeling we want them to have, so I had to come up with a new fresh piece, version 2 was born with a brown theme, more or less like tea or coffee.. a little wooden texture at the top, just to add a little table-ish feel to it.

Now that it’s on and working live, it feels great to be a part of the fresh air flowing in and around me, and the crew, it’s not just that Teabreak has gotten a little larger than it was a couple of months back, we’re also getting some hot reviews from the Industry’s big people, no really.. We’re not the first feed on AllTop Pakistan, just like that.

I think I feel great and proud being a part of this awesome new comer, and guess what, the people who work behind this are way talented than you think, (yes that means me too ).

It also feels really great when you see the people who are submitting their blogs so that they can reach a wider audience, and boy oh boy, it feels even great to see some very popular people signing up, and some people whom you know personally getting on very car you created.

Oh yes it feels awesome

On the other hand lies my PTCL land line, which is all f**ked up, and it ain’t working real good, rendering my DSL pretty much useless… I think I m going to get my DSL unsubscribed and get WiMax from Wateen instead.

It’s been one good journey with Maxcom, and I think it’s still one of the best DSL providers, but in the end PTCL doesn’t really do justice to it with it decade old freakin cables… Thank you PTCL bitches.

Remember I once had talked about that I had become a member of Metal seinen after a great artist get together we had, well guess what, these folks had a one year anniversary, and they had planned out a get together, which I went to yesterday, hell it was really nice, got to talk and tareef around about teabreak too

Any how, the event was at Copper kettle 2, near Karachi National Stadium, got to knwo how many kick ass people are already in the club.. coolness.

Just in case you missed the last post, I had announced, that the new version of Teabreak is just around, and well folks, it’s here now, yes right this moment, it’s online… so boys and girls, uncles and aunties.. spread the love.. send us some postcards

The new version relies some amount of it’s user interface on javascript, so it’s a good idea to use modern browser with javascript enabled.. I would highly recommend that you use Firefox 3.

Lately me and Asim Imtiaz had been co-ordinating on putting the last pieces of the big joint venture together, the whole collaboration involved Wordpress (as the basic ground), Asim (on further complex development), Ammar (Marketing, sponsorships), Me (design and front end code) and Zair (front end code). Yes my friends teabreak is just round the corner, waiting to happen and land itself on our little web browsers…

My suggestion to all the folks is first, get firefox, seriously, it’s the best thing that has ever happened to the internet, and their latest version, 3, is smokin hot ! You’ll fall in love, no kiddin !

Ok, so what I was saying is that the new version is a major change from the current look of the website, it is going to have new logo, like the one that looks above, it’s gonna have a darker theme, black tea would come to mind.

It has a some interactive elements to it, yes things move in it, I would like to thank the guys behind jquery, and specially John Resig for that. Adding some of the things would have been much problematic had there been no jquery.

I would also thank all those who stood by our side, supported us, hated us, screamed at us, drank tea with us, played with us, made fun of us, gayed around with us , gave us great ideas and all the those who’ve been our great audience. We love you folks.

I would also like to thank the folks at my and zair’s current office, that is Creative Chaos, the people there are super supportive, I would like to thank the entire design and development team here.

It’s been some time since I last blogged, and honestly, alot has happened since, I mean a real lot !

I have been gaining some weight, which looks odd coz it’s just around my tummy, makes me look like a man with a baby inside haha !

Oye and please wish Ammar Yasir, a big evil Happy Birthday.. yes it’s his birthday.. he was drpped on this round ball this day !

Any how, I also found some more of my school colleagues on facebook, which is good, now isn’t ?

On the other hand Asim and Ammar must really be pissed, haven’t done any update to TeaBreak in some time now, and also Zair had been busy with coke studio’s website, like you can see on his blog. Any how, even though a little late, I promise Teabreak is going to be kickass… can’t you figure yet, I have been way too busy recently too..damn !

Oh and how can I forget, I have some days off from my office, took a little vacation, for some reasons I donot want to share with no one, people who already know, keep your freaking mouths shut warna toont tum logoon ki

Also I’ve been getting some good amount of hits on my blog, since it got to some design sites, which is nice, and super cool too. Credit to all those who came thank you !

Also, on the final note, I got the Air conditioner in my room, finally, which is good, even though the electric system in our city is not so fine tuned, but I think we can manage a couple of cool hours…yaay

It’s been a very busy day, though all the crapiness is going away fro the time being, to return later some time.

Any how, my blog is up and running now, which is good, thanks to the good folks at ServerSea Hosting. Now I can rant and bitch about alot fo things

The last post I did which had lots of logos in it, has kind of caught up as a trend, which is awesome, everyone should do it. It’s fun now, come on… !

Oh boy, should I be saying this, well yeah I should, alot of work has gone in Teabreak, with collaborative efforts from Asim, Zair, me amd Ammar, and we’re hoping that this does create some big waves, this is not yet complete, but thats what we’re hoping

On the other hand,  office has taken over my life for some time, and I m trying to break it out, I also have to be at Iqra University this Saturday to meet Uzma, let’s hope for some good there too and we might have a bbq this Saturday too

Yeah well, I know thats a bad to start something after quite some time, but damn, I wasn’t blogging cause my web host was freakin down. Damn man.., but it’s back and kicking, though it’s a little slow right now, should be good in no time I hope

I even started a new mini blog in that time, which is a good thing btw, it’s on tumblr, check out my page.

I m planning to integrate that into this blog too, so mini posts will be available on a side, while the big posts will be on the main area of the blog.

There are also some other plans for the blog and more, that I m not telling now, to anyone

Also, TeaBreak’s major portion is complete, a few things here and there are still remaining, and the biggest issue is in progress, which is the IE fixes, that my friends has been handed over to Zair.

Lets hope for good, and a quick launch of Teabreak.
