    tech related image

Gmail on fire email I am sure most folks (a few exceptions) don’t know that I love to read a lot online, from journals to magazines, to news and what not, anything that might interest me, goes through my eyes, and if super interesting, saves some space in my little inefficient brain !

Lately I’ve been doing some tech related reading, and something I really like, is going to have a new version soon, hopefully soon. I am hoping that most of you love this as much as I do, and I am talking about Google’s Gmail (short for Gigabyte mail, or that’s how it got popular).

Yes Google’s working on a new version of their so damn awesome email service, it’s changed the way pretty much how we do emailing, from introducing labels (someone thinking tags), to threading emails, and then with 1 GB storage in the beginning (1st April, 2004), it’s was a big hit, and why shouldn’t it had been. It’s been a great time working with these people, and hopefully, should be interesting for the time to come too, with the storage reaching the 3 GB mark, I m so happy, while I haven’t used more than 30% of the storage.

I m not really sure of what the new version will sport, since all this news is rumor based ( I m sure you’re pissed at that now), albeit an interesting one !

You can read more about it on ZDnet. (New Version of GMail being tested)

So let’s just hope for the best. Amen

    I m so angry !

Yesterday, I had been called at Creative Chaos, for a demo of my working skills, I was asked to make up a concept logo and a web site, fair enough, they denied my rights to take the source file home, fair enough !

I m not really sure if I m going to make it, I’ve already made one big mistake, demanding my salary too low ! :(

I m not even sure why I m being bitchy, if you’re going to ask me what salary did I demand, you’ll be in despair ! Sorry !

The test any how I think went ok, I liked the logo I made, though the web site was kept to it’s normal minimalistic layout.

I m not sure if I will even get to see that layout again or not, though the ‘lady’ in charge did ask me if that design I made could be converted to a Wordpress template or not, which makes some what of a sense !

Then welcome to today, I m online wandering around the corners of the big W, the internet, and my cellphone rings, a number I m not familiar shows up on the screen.. I m wondering who the heck is it.. I pick up..hello !  ‘hi Shahzad, this is Musuab‘, my blood boils, needless to say, I don’t quite like that guy, I m not going to go and beat him up or something when I see him (one reason, he’s stronger, second I m not violent), but the thing is I had a bad experience with this guy in the past, right out of middle school actually, have hated him since then, ok well not really hated, disliked is the proper word. What he wants to talk to me is about me and my girl, to which my reply is ‘What the f*** do you care about that“, I didn’t say the F word, I didn’t need to, but some how, I know something’s fishy about this guy, thats why he wants to talk to me, Hello wake up, I m not coming ! Screw yourself to hell ! If some one would trust me enough, they’d know I m the kind of person who assumes things for nothings, I know this guy, and lately he’s been involved in a hell lot of trouble kind of things.

I m a bit pissed lately, a little confused, a little shaken and moved too!

Need some support, moral support that is. Damn I actually wrote that !

Some recent happenings indicate that life is finally showing signs of mercy on my pity little, so very tiny soul ! :P

The first ones aren’t that candy type though the last one is the best :) I got to watch ‘Simpsons movie’ finally after being Mentally butchered by my Asim for not watching it :P Then I get to see some other cool movies, and then I also came out of the recent artist block I was facing, thank fully it’s over !

Today I watched ‘Wrong Turn 2′ and ‘The Hills have Eyes’, nice movies but way too violent, plus, I wouldn’t prefer to see them with kids around !

Since Asim was around lately at my place, we tried to do some video, that ended up not doing a video at all.. WOW ! So much for crappy artists, we actually planned to do so, after we got some 11,400 plus views on our last video, which got some decent amount of comments, mostly hate ones, since we look gay in that video (you don’t need to grin, we’re not gay :P).

On a very interesting note, one of my friend has this another friend, who has a crush on him… WOAH !

For the Grand Finale ! I had an interview today, (I’d give a stand up applause and big thanks and smoochy hugs to name hidden on request for that) at Creative Chaos, I m hoping I m gonna make it in, I think I will. The place seems welcome and interesting to work at, plus they’ve got some great people hanging around there too ! So I need prayers from ya all ! :)

    Cheers mates !

    WTF ?

I know this is going to be some old stuff for some folks, but since I just came across this info, and I find it pretty interesting and stupid at the same time, read and judge on your own.

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — A Marshalltown woman faces charges of stealing three rolls of toilet paper from the local courthouse and could get prison time.

NewsChannel 8’s Katie Piper caught up with the woman accused of stealing the toilet paper.

Courthouse employees said they thought something was up.

“They said they seem to go through a lot of toilet paper at the courthouse,” said Marshalltown Police Chief Lon Walker.

Marshalltown police said one of the employees caught Suzanne Marie Butts, of Marshalltown, taking the two-ply from the women’s bathroom and called police.

The courthouse parking lot attendant said he knew about toilet paper going missing.

“I’ve heard they call it the toilet paper caper,” said parking lot attendant Gene Seim.

Police said they caught up with Butts outside the courthouse Friday, and she was hiding the toilet paper in her shirt.

Butts told NewsChannel 8 that it was the first time she had stolen toilet paper and that her attorney said not talk.

“He told me not to ask any questions until he’s with me,” Butts said.

The courthouse workers told police they suspected something was up.

“She’s facing three years incarceration for three rolls of toilet paper,” Walker said.

“Normally, that would be a simple misdemeanor,” Walker said.

Police said that on Friday, Butts was arrested on charges of stealing $30 from a family member.

That makes four theft charges against her. A judge will decide what punishment fits this crime.

    hell with it !

Are you a Pakistani, and live or have lived in Karachi, and for all the right reasons cursed the education system while you were in school or college for they handled all the issues with plain stupidity, here’s some thing I came across, that you would find interesting, I m sure this has been posted a couple billions times over on the internet !

Thirty schools in Pakistan?s largest city, Karachi, have scored a shocking ?perfect zero? score ? not a single student passed their annual exam and will remain in the same classes.
The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, has issued show-cause notices to 48 secondary and higher secondary schools for their poor performance in the recently held HSSC [higher secondary school certificate] Part-II (Pre-medical) examinations. The board has warned them they will be disaffiliated as a punishment.
Chairman Anwar Ahmedzai said when contacted that the schools have been asked to submit their replies within seven days. The institutions are both public and private. Out of 48 institutions issued notices, about 30 had delivered 0% results in the HSSC part-II (pre-medical) examinations, while the performance of the remaining 18 was less than 10%.
Of the 30, 12 belonged to the public sector and 18 were private. Among those that delivered less than 10% results, 10 are private and eight public sector schools.

You can read the whole article on Gulf times page.

So much for improving education, some people are taking some action, but in the end what’s it going to lead to, lets wait and see… !

We’ve already come across a bazillion* amount of environmental issues, that effect us on a daily basis, some in a smaller and some in a bigger way, whether we notice or not, they’re still there. Even the solutions are already there, the only thing we need is practical implementation of these solutions.

We however fail when it comes to implementation, why, because most of the time we’re lazy and stubborn to accept changes, that is what’s human nature is, however there are simple ways to get out of the common doings and improve what we already do.

Sites like Life hacker have posted some articles on improving the environment, and in fact there are a lot of ways mentioned on different websites across the world wide web, only a small google search could return countless results.

A few points from the rest :

    • Get rid of the things you don’t quite use, either gave them away, sell them, or dispose them off in a proper way.
    • Ride to work or for studies on a bike.
    • Use public transport more often than your personal get away ride.
    • Use a LCD screen for your computer.
    • Turn off appliances not in use.

There are even more, a google search should reveal more.

I also plan to take part in the blog action day, you should too. Here’s a little promo :

Update: Meerkart photoshoot exposed as a hoax

Meerkats have long been known as curious and resourceful creatures, but it now appears some have a talent for photography too.

A group of the animals - known as a mob - at Longleat Safari Park turned their paws to the hobby when a warden accidentally left a camera in their enclosure.

In the five minutes before he returned, the inquisitive mammals clambered up the tripod, explored the controls and managed to take three family photos.

“They are some of the more inquisitive creatures here at Longleat and will generally get their nose and paws into most things,” he said.

“But to actually get up to the camera and even take a family portrait is quite incredible.”

The whole thing sounds so interesting.

For most people out there, who know me, it’s needless to say, that I m an apple Inc. fan. I’ve always wanted a mac, then I got myself an iPod, and now I m banging my head, since I could’ve waited a little and got myself the new iPod, the classic looks good to me, I mean ok, the iPod touch is awesome, but 16 GB at max isn’t good for me…. :)

Though the nano is a fat thing, it’s definitely got the right features…

check the ipods out on apple website.
